On 9th September, Her Magesty The Queen will become the longest serving monarch in British history.
To commemorate this event, as well as having a celebratory dinner in the Vane Arms on the 9th, a tea party will be held on the 13th September in the Francis Giffin Memorial Hall for the whole village. Tea is free, but if cakes and biscuits could be donated for the tea, that would be lovely.
This is a very important landmark in our history so let us all celebrate it together.
Meet at the Village Hall to start the village tidy up for The Queen. We plan to start on the left hand corner opposite the Hatsell household. Then we will look further up the road to the Round House area, but not on 28th. Another clean up date will be organised.
