There are two ways to become a village councillor.
- You can be elected once every four years.
- You can be co-opted during that time following the resignation of another councillor. To do that you’ll need to complete the application form and be supported in a meeting by at least two councillors.
If you would like to pursue either of those please get in touch with the clerk on 07469 184 120 or sudboroughparishcouncil@gmail.com
What does being a councillor mean?
You will:
- get free professional training
- be supported in your role
- be part of a team
- make a difference
The commitment you would make is to attend an ordinary meeting every other month on the second Wednesday and to read a small amount of relevant material beforehand.
