Following a resignation, there is an opportunity for someone to join the council via co-option.
You are very welcome to call me or approach a councillor if you’d like an informal chat about what this involves. There are also many opportunities for professional training, which would be paid for by the council.
The Council’s full policy for co-option and application form are available on our website or I can provide a hardcopy.
The deadline to be considered for co-option is the 1st of March, 2024. By that date, you must either:
- hand a completed application form to a Councillor or the Clerk
- send a scanned or photographed copy to the clerk
- register your interest online by
The application will then be resolved at the meeting on the 20th of March, 2024.
