The Parish Council manages its own finance directly. The Clerk fills the role of Responsible Financial Officer but the vast majority of the expenditure is approved at the public meeting of the council. Like many other organisations, The Parish Council sets a budget for the year based on previous and forecasted expenditure. That budget is then used to set a precept, which is an amount of money the Parish Council requests from North Northamptonshire Council. The precept has an impact on council tax but does not set it directly. For the fiscal year 24/25, the Parish Council set a precept of £12,500 for the year.
